AUSTRALIAN JEWISH GENEALOGY SOCIETY

The Society was established in Sydney in 1993 to help its members explore their family ancestry.  There are several members in Canberra, some of whom are members of the ACT Jewish Community.  Members receive the quarterly journal of the AJGS The Kosher Koala and can use the extensive facilities of the AJGS in Sydney as well as attend functions of other branches in Australia.

The Canberra activities, information and occasional workshops are coordinated under the aegis of the local branch of the Australian Jewish Historical Society.  The holdings of the AJGS are growing in Canberra, and can be accessed when workshops are being held or by arrangement.  News is disseminated to local members through the communal newsletter; Hamerkaz, and by email.

Any inquires should be directed to the Executive Secretary of the National Jewish Memorial Centre on (02) 6295 1052.
